HeavyGod sends Ninjas home
The lower semi-finals of the Skyesports Masters 2024 kicked off unexpectedly, featuring two teams few expected to fall to this juncture. With elimination looming over them, the BO3 kicked off on Vertigo as OG's pick. The game started off intensely close as scores were tied at 6-6 in the first half. While OG strung together six in a row to reach match point at 12-8, NIP went flawless in regulation to tie the score back at 12-12.
Even an iteration of Overtime wasn't enough to determine either team's fate on the first map, as searing contention betided. However, a strong resurgence from HeavyGod ensured OG came in top of the first map, winning by a 19-17 margin.
Next up was was Overpass, where OG brought their strong momentum into their CT side, securing a 10-2 lead. The second half followed the same one-sided narrative, as OG crushed the Ninjas, winning the map with a 13-4 score.
The win puts OG in the lower bracket final and they will face the winner of the BIG vs FORZE game while the Ninjas head home from the event.
