TheMongolz show no mercy to G2
TheMongolz continue their hot streak as they have taken down the European powerhouse G2 in ESL Pro League Season 19. The Group B Upper Semi-Final kicked off on TheMongolz pick of Ancient. Starting on the T-side, they got off to an early 5-0 start. Despite encountering a resurgence from G2 in the following rounds, they tallied an impressive halftime score of 8-4.
Switching sides in the second half, TheMongolz didn’t concede a single round, rallying to a dominant 13-4 victory. The second map Anubis kicked off in a similar fashion as TheMongolz once again proved to be too powerful for the defenses of G2 to handle.
With 910 leading the server with a K-D of 18-4, TheMongolz secured a 9-3 lead. Winning the pistol and the force buy propelled them further to 11-3, but a tec-9 round win from G2 threw a spanner in the works as G2 strung together 3 rounds in a row. However, TheMongolz seized control back in their buy rounds, closing out the game 13-7.
