Into the Breach take down paiN
paiN faced Into the Breach in the second game of Brazy Party 2023 and the two Paris Major attendees kicked off their match on Into the Breach's pick of Vertigo. While paiN began strongly with a win on the opening map on Vertigo, Into the Breach (ITB) managed to complete the reverse sweep to take the series 2-1.
ITB started on the T-side and managed to take the first pistol of the series and converted the following round as well to take an early 2-0 lead. paiN took their first round in the first gun round of the match and following that the Brazilian team went on a 7 round win streak finishing the first half on Vertigo 10-5. ITB tried to mount a comeback but paiN closed out Vertigo 16-10 with NEKIZ ending the opening map with 24 kills and a 1.18 rating.
The second map was on paiN's pick of Anubis and it was paiN who took the pistol this time. ITB though bounced back with a string of rounds but zevy ended out the first half with a 1v3 clutch to see paiN take a 8-7 lead heading into the break. ITB tied up the score-line by taking the second pistol round. ITB were dominant on their T-side and were just better in their duels with paiN which saw them secure the second map 16-10. It was volt and Rallen who stepped up for ITB with both ending the map with 1.59 and 1.23 ratings respectively.
The decider was on Mirage with paiN starting on the T-side. It was ITB though who took the pistol, and converted the following force-buy to take an early 3-0 lead. ITB were beginning to run away with the half but paiN managed to put together a couple of rounds to end the first half 9-6 in favour of ITB. paiN took the pistol in the second half but ITB won their force buy to increase their lead. ITB were 12-7 up but paiN pulled back things to tie up the score at 13-13 following a couple of scrappy rounds between the two. ITB managed to hold on and wrapped the series 2-1, taking Mirage 16-13. CYPHER and rallen where the top scorers for Into the Breach, with both finishing Mirage with a 1.29 and 1.51 respectively.
