Valve releases stickers and viewer pass for Blast Paris Major 2023
Going into the last CS:GO Major, valve’s new stickers and pick’em coin for the Blast Paris 2023 is bittersweet news. Foil stickers were expected to appear one last time but it looks like Valve is pretty persistent towards the fairly new glitter category.
A pick’em trophy rework was rumored but the coin design from 2019 has been carried over. Team and Autograph stickers retain the same holo effect from Stockholm 2021 and Antwerp 2022. The pick’em trophy is back, where there viewers take a guess at who makes it to the next stage of the tournament, who goes through 3-0, who goes out 3-0 and finally, who takes home the Major.
The pick’em trophy upgrades to silver, gold and diamond depending on the amount of right predictions made by the user. Along with this, souvenir packages are dropped for each coin upgrade. These souvenirs can be redeemed for any match in the tournament and any gun dropping from the package will contain gold stickers of both teams and the map.
The players seem to have put in a lot of effort into their stickers, showcasing great creativity, including some of the players actually drawing out their own stickers. The community expected pre-2019 style souvenirs where the guns from the package also contained the autograph sticker of the most valuable player from that particular match, but only time will tell if we get player autographs on Souvenirs this time. Stickers and viewer pass not being completely reworked for the last ever CS:GO Major might not be that disappointing as it could mean that Valve is just busy, cooking in Counter-Strike 2.
