The Multiverse Series finals rescheduled

Tournament format sees changes

The Multiverse Series hosted by UPSTHRUST ESPORTS had their Grand Finals which was scheduled to be held on May 5, 2023, rescheduled due to player unavailability and changes in tournament format. The finals was supposed to be played between Built Different and KingPins but due to the unavailability of some players, a showmatch was held between KingPins and a put together roster of five, the Random 5. The showmatch was played on Dust II with KingPins eventually winning the showmatch 16-12.

After reaching out to the tournament organisers, Dust2.in has learnt that the Grand Final will be held on May 9, 2023 and the tournament will also see a change in format with two offline rounds also set to be held before the finals.

On May 8, there will be a semi-final held between KingPins and Wicked Gaming while Ikari and Built Different will battle it out in the Eliminator. There will be a Lower Bracket Final on Tuesday which will be followed by the Grand Finals, later on the very same day.

While the playoff matches will not be livestreamed, the stream of the Grand Finals will be broadcasted on UPTHRUST ESPORTS' YouTube channel on May 10, 2023.

With a prize-pool of INR 50,000, the Multiverse Series is an exciting CS:GO tournament for the Indian region.

We will update as and when we get the latest.
