Final CS:GO Major sees a drop in viewership
The recently concluded BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage has seen a drop in viewership compared to the previous two Challengers Stages, in Antwerp and Rio.
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022's Challengers Stage saw Peak Viewers at 707,312 and Average Viewers at 450,333, with the Imperial and FORZE game witnessing the highest viewership.
The IEM Rio Major 2022 saw a rise of viewership during the Challengers Stage with Peak Viewers at 751,557 and Average Viewers at 455,514. Once again it was an Imperial game that had the highest viewership, with the Imperial and Vitality game topping the charts.
If we compare it with the Challengers Stage viewership of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, we can see a significant drop in numbers. The Peak Viewers came in at 671,970 while the Average Viewers was 417,521. Both the numbers are well below those set during the Antwerp and Rio Majors. With no Imperial in Paris this time, the match with the highest viewers was the Liquid and Fluxo match, with a Brazilian team once again dominating the viewership charts.
