f1redup is confident that the team will bounce back

"We lacked individually, we don't play like this" - f1redup

Revenant Esports conceded a narrow loss on both maps to Gods Reign in their Skyesports Masters opener

Although the score reads 0-2, both maps could have gone either way but eventually it was Gods Reign who walked away with the win. Here's what f1redup from Revenant Esports had to say, post the game.

You guys came back on both maps, were on homestretch but fell short, what do you think went wrong?

"We fell short closing out a few rounds, there was a little miscommunication, we had 2 imports and did not get much time to practice with them. It is the first match, we will bounce back. We did not do much in terms of strats and today we feel that we lacked individually, we don't play like this."

With 2 imports in the team, how are the comms? Have the imports picked up bits of Hindi from you guys?

"They might have picked up on our Hindi a little bit but we usually communicate in English except for tense moments where we just instinctively call in Hindi. We are not used to communicating entirely in English but we are trying."

You neutralized their (Gods Reign) lead in Overpass, looked good to close the map but reV3nnnn started AWPing really well, did you guys at some point try to come up with a plan for him specifically?

"I don't think we were focused on countering individuals and we threw a few rounds because of miscommunication. The 10-10 round was very important and clouda spammed out gump through the smoke with a Tec9, they even got a kill on flank and the follow-up was a really close round too, where gump was left with a 1v2. We're looking to step up individually and as a team going forward in the tournament."
