Vitality obliterates Complexity

Vitality eases past Complexity after conceding only 7 rounds in two maps

After an impressive display against NIP in the previous match, Complexity was presented with a tough challenge, as they were pitted against the second-best team in the world, Vitality. In the veto, Complexity went ahead with their pick Inferno, while Vitality picked Vertigo, leaving Nuke as the decider. The encounter ended in a swift and decisive 2-0 scoreline, with Vitality emerging victorious in commanding fashion, securing scores of 16-1 and 16-6 in the first two maps.

On Inferno, Vitality got to a blistering start, securing the first three effortlessly, and conceding only 3 kills in the process. Despite the recent addition of flameZ to their roster, Vitality showcased seamless impeccable teamwork. In contrast, Complexity's offense revealed several vulnerabilities that Vitality expertly exploited. The aggressive plays by Spinx on Banana and ZywOo in Apartments overwhelmed Complexity, as they secured multiple kills several times. Vitality's commanding three-zero start set the stage for a complete shutdown on the CT side of Inferno, where they displayed absolute dominance by securing 14 rounds in the half. The only round for Complexity came on the last round of the half, with Grim bagging an entry on Banana and then getting two more kills to close the round.

Vitality took no time to end the map, which was made sure by Magisk's multi-kills on the first two rounds of the second half, securing Complexity's map pick 16-1. In the fragging department, even the weakest performer on Vitality, Magisk boasted an impressive rating of 1.39, while Spinx soared to the top of the charts with his divine rating of 2.0. On the contrary, Complexity's star players failed to shine. Among them, only Hallzerk, who secured 12 kills during the game, came close to making a difference. But even his efforts fell short of making a significant impact as he lost three clutch situations in the half.

The same narrative unfolded on Vertigo, Vitality's map pick. It was a demanding task for Complexity from the outset, who had already suffered losses to Grayhound and Imperial on the map in the last three months. On the other hand, Vitality boasted a confident 75% win rate. The favourites kicked off the match by capitalizing on a clean pistol round victory and proceeded to build momentum by claiming round after round. The strong offensive power was propelled by remarkable synergy. Despite being in a comfortable position, Vitality was making no mistakes as they hit the sites as a unit, used their utility effectively, and let their individuals outclass them in duels. After an 11-0 start for Vitality, Complexity saved face by winning three of the last 4 rounds. Yet, their efforts proved futile as Vitality swiftly put an end to their resurgence, sealing the map by getting 4 rounds in 7 on the CT side. As the second map ended, Spinx was overtaken by ZywOo, who concluded the match with a 1.60 rating. Vitality will now face the winner of the Consolidation final on Wednesday.
