Medal Esports end their Skyesports Masters 2023 with a win

Medal Esports won the pistol round to start off the CT-side of Anubis but Reckoning Esports converted the anti-eco, breaking the CT-economy and by the time this recovered, Reckoning Esports had ran away with 5 rounds at 5-1. Once the CT-economy stabilized, Medal Esports levelled the score and even stole the lead at 6-5. After a few back and forth trades, the half ended at an evenly poised 7-8.

The sides switched and Reckoning Esports came alive. After winning the pistol round, Reckoning Esports locked down a solid CT-defense, stringing up 6 rounds in a row to reach 14-7 and withing touching distance of closing out Anubis. Medal Esports strung up 3 of their own in an attempt to mount a comeback but the task ahead was too demanding, as Reckoning Esports let their banks recover and shutdown Medal Esports' T-side, closing out Anubis 16-10 and going 1-0 up in the series. TEMPER went ballistic for Reckoning Esports with a whopping 34 frags and an ADR of 122.

Inferno started off in similar fashion with Medal Esports winning their T-side pistol and Reckoning Esports converting the anti-eco. Just when Reckoning Esports looked to build a small lead for themselves, Medal Esports brought out their ruthless T-side, levelling the score at 5-5 and also stealing the lead. Medal Esports ran away with a 9-6 lead in their favor.

Reckoning Esports stampeded the A-site, taking the second half's pistol round and were able to convert the follow-up. On the brink of levelling the score, Reckoning Esports fell apart, conceding a series of crucial rounds, allowing Medal Esports to reach 14-9. Reckoning Esports rediscovered winning ways, toppling Medal Esports' defense but again, right on the verge of levelling the score, Reckoning Esports conceded match point at 15-13. An aggressive series of back and forth trades bring round #30 down to a 2v2 which Medal Esports win, closing out Inferno 16-14 and leveling the series 1-1, forcing it into the decider, Ancient

After a few initial back and forth trades, Medal Esports found their footing on the CT-side of Ancient. Locking in a solid defense, Medal Esports secured a 10-5 half in their favor. Medal Esports took the pistol and follow-up to start off the second half but Reckoning Esports fought back and reached double figures at 10-12.

At 11-13, it looked like anyone's match but Medal Esports surprised Reckoning with a double AWP setup late round and off the back of it, secured match point at 15-11, eyeing their second win in the tournament to end it. Medal Esports converted it immediately to close out Ancient 16-11 and the series 2-1. With this win, Medal Esports secured their 2nd win in the tournament, meanwhile Reckoning Esports end their campaign with 6 wins.
