A strong start in Malta for FaZe
The B03 kicked off on 9z's pick of Nuke, where the South American team initiated the action on the T-side. The opening pistol round went the way of FaZe, as karrigan led his troops to retake the 3v3 post plant on the A site. After going on an early 3-0 spree, their momentum was halted by 9z's outside skirmish, where they picked off the CTs one by one to put their first on board. FaZe's retaliation took them to a 6-2 lead, but a 1v2 from dgt led 9z to gain a momentum of 3 rounds, allowing them to finish the half with 5 rounds on their T-side.

The jubilation following FaZe's second pistol victory was short-lived, as dgt and try picked up a couple of kills each to secure the force buy but more importantly, disrupting the economy of the terrorists. However, a quick 3k from ropz lurking out of the squeaky smoke enabled him to get 3 kills, as he put FaZe back to winning ways. FaZe inched closer to match point, establishing a 14-8 score that put immense pressure on the defensive side. While 9z fought back courageously, with dgt delivering an impressive 1.45 rating on defense, the team ultimately fell short as FaZe secured the map with a 16-14 victory.

The second map, Inferno, showcased FaZe's complete dominance on the T-side. They achieved an astounding 14-1 lead in the first half, with broky and ropz leading the charge and accumulating a remarkable total of 33 kills between them. Despite 9z finding themselves in advantageous man-count situations multiple times, they struggled to capitalize on them, as FaZe consistently managed to clutch 3v5 scenarios. The only round 9z could secure in the first half occurred in the very last round, thanks to a well-executed 3-man stack on the B site that successfully held their ground with little time remaining.

A peculiar pistol with all 5 CTs swarming the A site turned into a victory, as FaZe reached matchpoint. Although they were pressured into saving during a tense 3v3 situation against tec-9s in the second round, FaZe ultimately sealed the game with an emphatic 16-3 victory.
