KingPins hammer ROG Academy

After upsetting Marcos Gaming in the semifinals, ROG Academy were looking to go all the way and pick up the Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 4 trophy but in between themselves and the trophy was the in-form KingPins.

The opening map of the Grand Finals was ROG Academy's pick of Inferno with KingPins starting on the CT side. ROG picked up the pistol with an A hit. ROG held on in a 3v5 situation against KingPins' force and then went on to take a 4-0 lead. It was an ELV1S double A hold that saw KingPins get on the board. A 2v4 retake from Bhavi and hattygOD saw KingPins keep themselves in the half. hattygOD's AWP and ELV1S's aggression saw KingPins take the lead of the map at 6-5 and it was KingPins who took a 10-5 lead at the end of the half.

ROG secured both pistols as they came in with a clean second pistol, shutting down KingPins at Top Mid. arakyn's 1v3 on the A site saw ROG tie up the game at 10-10. ROG eventually took the lead of the map but KingPins got their first T round in round 22 and there was no looking back after that with an ELV1S double opener at short which saw KingPins secure the map at 16-12. It was hattygOD and ELV1S on top of the scoreboard with 27 and 24 kills respectively.

KingPins' pick of Ancient was the second map of the series with ROG starting on the CT side. KingPins picked up the pistol and an ELV1S ace against the pistols saw them go 4-0 up. An A retake saw ROG Academy get on the board in round 5 but KingPins answered back immediately with a B hit. It was absolute domination as KingPins ended the opening half with a 12-3 half as arakyn closed out the half with a 1v1 against Bhavi.

It was an easy pistol win for KingPins to kick off the second half and converted a 3v3 with ELV1S straight up sticking a defuse in a 2v2 to put KingPins on map point. KingPins won Ancient at 16-3 with BENZENE topping the Ancient scoreboard with 21 kills.

With the dominant win, KingPins take the Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 4 title and takes home the INR 25, 000 prize money.
