Cloud9 secure Royal Arena spot

BIG go down 0-2 in their final CS:GO match

Two of the best online teams of the CS:GO era were quite poetically playing one of the final games on CS:GO in the Tier-1 scene as BIG faced Cloud9 to book a spot in the Fall Final 2023.

The opening map was BIG's pick of Ancient with BIG starting 3-0 on the T side. It was a strong comeback from Cloud9 as they managed to pull it back to take an 8-7 lead at the break. BIG secured both pistols on Ancient to tie things off as the second half got underway but it was the Ax1Le and electroNic show on the T side from Cloud9 as they wrapped up Ancient 16-13.

Cloud9's pick of Anubis was the second map with Cloud9 picking up the opening pistol starting the CT side. It was a close opening half as Cloud9 took an 8-7 lead. BIG secured yet another pistol win to get the second half going but it was Cloud9 who managed to wrap up Anubis at 16-12 to pick up the series 2-0 with Ax1Le having a stellar series with 51 kills across two maps.

By picking up the series, not only did Cloud9 win the BLALST Premier Fall Showdown 2023 Europe but also booked their spot in the Royal Arena for the Fall Final 2023.
