FaZe turn it around against Complexity in the Grand Final
The first tier-1 CS2 LAN event, IEM Sydney 2023's Grand Final saw FaZe take on Complexity, with both teams comprising of players who have previously lifted the trophy in Sydney.
The Grand Final's first map was Complexity's pick of Overpass with FaZe starting on the CT side. It was a 7-5 lead for FaZe. While FaZe held it early advantage in the second half, it was Complexity who bounced back to take the map at 13-11.

FaZe started their pick of Nuke strongly, going on to take a 8-4 lead at the end of the first half. Complexity started the second half strong after taking the pistol but FaZe made sure they weren't going down 0-2 as they secured Nuke at 13-10.
The series decided was Ancient with FaZe starting things off with a CT side pistol win. Unlike the first two maps, FaZe weren't going to give Complexity any ground as they started with a 9-3 lead on Ancient.
FaZe started with the second pistol but Complexity answered back with the force that saw them bring it to a one round game. rain's 1v2 put FaZe on championship point but Complexity saw off three map points to take it to overtime.
It was FaZe who managed to hang on to close out the map at 19-16 and secure the series 2-0 to become the first Tier-1 CS2 champions.
