Mcg!LLzZz: "We have proven ourselves"

It has been a dominating run from Marcos Gaming here at DreamHack Hyderabad. After their victory against Revenant in the final, we caught up to Mcg!LLzZz. Here is what he had to say.

How does it feel to win the event, and that too without losing any match?

I feel really good. 'Haar ke jeetne wale ko hi bazigar kehte hai'. We were really disappointed after our loss in the semi-final of Skyesports. We really felt like we were the better team, but on that day we didn't play well. But we didn't judge ourself. We kept our strong mentality and reformed our team. The only thing in our mind was that we will take one event at a time and win it.

Many viewers were skeptical about your performance and even called your run at Skyesports as fluke. Do you think you have finally proven them wrong?

Even I felt like in Skyesports many people put up a question that it was a fluke performance in the group stage. I can understand that too, because we were really disappointed with our performance. I don't have anything to say to them, but here we have won pretty confidently, with a decent margin. So we have proven ourselves.

How do you feel after getting that Abu Dhabi news?

I really like the exposure we are getting. It felt really good that we will go to Abu Dhabi to represent our nation and play Pakistan. We will play with our hearts for our fans. I think Esports is the winner at the end of the day. I am really happy for us.

What is the backstory of you dedicating this trophy to Aslan?

I dedicated this trophy to Amit Deb, also known as Aslan. We grew up together playing Counter-Strike and 1.6. When I was on the way to Hyderabad for this event, unfortunately he passed away in Kolkata. On the way, DEFAULTER and I spoke about how we would like to win this trophy for him. So this trophy is for him.

Please support us. We may not interact a lot on Social Media, we don't stream. But we will start soon. We will get more resources in the coming future and put in more efforts. Our team is really good, and the players will play even better.
