Amidst the rumours and speculations, Falcons CEO reveals on HLTV confirmed that NiKo approached Falcons first with a message that he was exploring his options.
Despite initiating contact, NiKo took to X to stylishly confirm his commitment with G2 with the words “I stay”. Falcons had come very close to signing the deal according to media, says Dus2.dk in their article.
The episode of HLTV confirmed featured Falcons CEO Musaad AlDossary and coach zonic where they also go on to talk about zonic's 3-year long-term deal with Falcons and the team's main goals, including a Major title. zonic revealed that the project is a long-term project and they do not expect to be successful immediately.
The community has shown discontent towards zonic for accepting the Falcons deal, often stating that financial motivations like these can cause transfers that might disrupt the Counter-Strike scene and not work out very well in the long run. zonic though clarified on the episode that his main goal is and remains what it was during his previous stints at Astralis and Vitality and that is to win every competition they participate in.
