NIP chokes in China
Group B's star-studded match saw FaZe take on Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) in the upper bracket semi-final
NIP started the BO1 of Ancient on the CT side and while FaZe started 4-0 it was NIP who pulled back the half at 7-5. NIP started the second half with the pistol and three in a row after that to go 11-5 up before FaZe managed to find themselves on their defensive half. FaZe eventually made it five rounds in a row to secure overtime.
It was FaZe who managed to hang on by the skin of their teeth in quintuple overtime at 28-25 to secure the map and it was a massive choke from the Ninjas, who were 11-5 up in regulation but blew their chance to close the game.
FaZe will now play MOUZ with the winner securing a direct semi-final spot while NIP will fight for their tournament lives against Wings Up.
