Marcos Gaming gets the better of Gods Reign to secure Grand Final spot
The first semi-final of Dust2 India - 1XBET Cup Masters #4, with our Broadcast Partner Blink Entertainment between Marcos Gaming and Gods Reign kicked off on Marcos Gaming's map pick of Vertigo.
Starting on the T side, Marcos Gaming went berserk from the outset by claiming the 4 initial rounds. While Gods Reign somehow managed to tie the score by getting 4 defuses in a row, they couldn't score any more rounds in the first half. As a result, Marcos moved to the second half with an 8-4 lead.
As the second half unfolded, Marcos Gaming once again got the head start by converting the first two rounds. Without much fight from Gods Reign, Marcos Gaming was able to seal the first map effortlessly with a 13-6 score-line.
On the second map Ancient, Marcos Gaming started on the CT side while Gods Reign took on the offensive. While Gods Reign got off to a flying 3-0 start, Marcos Gaming bounced back once the buy rounds entailed. As the half came to an end, Marcos Gaming secured a 7-5 lead to their name.
In the second half, Marcos Gaming secured the pistol round but was immediately responded to by a force buy victory from Gods Reign. As the half progressed, Marcos Gaming fought by securing two more T-rounds, but it was Gods Reign who dominated as they reached match point at 13-11. Backs against the wall, DEFAULTER pulled off a 1v3 and then prompted overtime by cleaning up the final round of regulation.
Despite being down once again in the first OT, Marcos Gaming pulled yet another comeback and sealed the deal by a 19-15 score-line to secure a final berth in Masters 4. They will play against the winner of KingPins and Enigma Gaming shortly for a prize pool of $1500.
