NRG returns to Counter-Strike

Four years after shutting down their Counter-Strike division, NRG have announced their re-entry, fielding a North American roster. The lineup entails players who have previously played for Evil Geniuses, Complexity and Liquid.

NRG stepped away from the Counter-Strike scene in 2019 after selling their lineup to Evil Geniuses. HLTV had previously reported that NRG were showing interest in making a return to professional Counter-Strike.

oSee who was benched by Liquid and FaNg who was benched by Complexity upon EliGE’s arrival have also been picked up by NRG. HexT finds a spot in the team as well, a year and a half after parting ways with Evil Geniuses.

At one point, star rifler autimatic was on NRG’s list but according to a report by dust2.us, autimatic is apparently “keeping his options open to other potential opportunities“.
