CS2's false VAC wave fixed

After a recent minor update shipped by Valve, the community noticed an alarming number of false VAC bans. A handful of professional players were also handed false VAC bans.

The CS community took to social media, pointing out accounts with high value inventories and accounts of important Counter-Strike figures that had fallen prey to the false ban wave. The false VAC trigger was a supposed AMD/Nvidia drivers related issue but nothing specific has been made public.

Valve reacted quickly to backtrack and address the issue, taking to X, where they acknowledged the hiccup and announced that rollbacks were in progress.
