WahWah open Gladiator's League with a win

In their Group 3 Opener, WahWah took on aQuA Gaming on Mirage in the Gladiator's League.

WahWah started the match off with a pistol round thanks to brilliant play from Rocky, to set up a 3-0 lead on their attack. aQuA finally took a round win thanks to a 2v2 retake on A from Minalob and hP, but WahWah bounced right back to get 5 rounds on the board. aQuA slowly edged their way into the half, eventually getting to 3 rounds, but WahWah mantained their lead as ExecutoR finally managed to get a frag on board in round 10. In the final rounds of the half aQua did manage to get two more rounds to close out on a respectable 5-7 scoreline.

WahWah kept up their form in the second half, starting with yet another pistol win to extend their lead up to 9-5. The attack finally broke through WahWah in round 16 to give aQuA their first pair of T sided rounds, That momentum allowed them to build into a solid streak of rounds, making the match quite competitive. With the full buy back out for WahWah, they immediately took another CT round on the B site defence, forcing aQuA to a timeout. Odds turned against him, but his trusty AK still in his hands, s44d walked into the A site in a 1v4 and nearly clutched out the matchpoint before falling just shy of the mark in the 1v1.

Nevertheless, Wah Wah clinched matchpoint at 12-9 and forced their opponents down to a weak buy with just 2 rifles surrounded by a smattering of pistols. And while Nayan started with a solid opening, Rocky and s44d locked in 20+ frags to close the match out 13-9.
