FACEIT ships regional matchmaking test

FACEIT has announced the beginning of the regional matchmaking test as a part of the winter update. As the name suggests, regional matchmaking will matchup people in the same region. This can potentially improve communication and overall gameplay experience for many.

The Super Match concept has been reworked to generate matches with capped Elo, which previously applied only to individual parties. The Elo cap will vary with region. An Elo widget showing progression towards the next rank has been added to the match room.

Team profiles have been updated to show team history making it easier for teams to track their opponents or display their own achievements on the profile page.

The registration for ESEA League Season 48 is now open and a spotlight on the Challenger Rank has been added. The tournament signup system has been optimized. New winter missions, tournaments and ladders have been added alongside new DROPSKIN rewards.
