BLEED sign hampus as IGL
BLEED Esports have announced the signing of Hampus "hampus" Poser as the In-Game Leader for it's upcoming roster. The Swede joins the project on transfer from Ninjas In Pyjamas where the player spent over 3 years, from May 2020 when he joined as a replacement for Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson.
Hampus's time on NIP was marked by many turbulent periods with a whopping 9 different lineups and 13 different teammates. This notably included legendary Danish player Nicolai "device" Reedtz with whom hampus achieved his career first, and so far only, trophy at IEM Fall RMR 2021. His latest stint in the team came in June of this year when he took over the reigns of the team from Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen but ended with the Swede getting the boot himself as NIP brought in the Spanish leader Alejandro "alex" Masanet.
Kassad has been a supporter of the IGL in recent years, being a vocal supporter of his return to NIP over Aleksib and going on to call the organization "Ridiculously Incompetent" on X when hampus was benched.
Every few months NiP reminds us how ridiculously incompetent their organization is. Just when we start forgetting about it. Its really a skill they developed.
- Kassad
The Serbian coach had previously said that the IGL and AWP roles will be the first positions he aims to find. Despite hampus' previously conflicting statements about his intentions with the leading role, from his gameplay it has been clear that he is a talented caller. His weaknesses usually stemmed from not being a leader outside the server more than anything in the server.
With a strong coach like Kassad backing him, maybe this could be the duo that can lead the Asian organization to an internationally competitive roster.
