KSCERATO bags fourth consecutive top 20 appearance

HLTV's top 20: KSCERATO at #19

The Brazilian has bagged three EVPs across the year

HLTV reveals the second name in the top 20 players of 2023 list and it's the star Brazilian rifler, KSCERATO at #19.

FURIA had a tough year, taking their biggest hit in the form of a legends stage exit at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 but KSCERATO displayed a masterclass in rifling, irrespective of FURIA's results. Possessing a KAST of 75.4% and a HLTV rating of 1.21 at big events, he sits at #3 in those statistical categories.

Due to FURIA not making to the backend of most high profile events, KSCERATO's numbers came only in the group / league stages of tournaments. His top 20 appearance for 2023 marks his fourth consecutive entry in the list.

KSCERATO's lights-out performance at IEM Katowice 2023 play-in marked his highest rated event at 1.33 but unfortunately the play-in has little to no impact towards the top 20 list. FURIA looked promising at ESL Pro League Season 17, making it all the way to the playoffs. KSCERATO's 1.23 HLTV rating at the event secured him an EVP accolade but FURIA ended their run in the second round of the playoffs where they met an in-form FaZe, who would go on to win the Intel Grand Slam.

KSCERATO was more often than not FURIA's highest rated player and it continued at BLAST.tv Paris Major's Americas RMR. Next came IEM Rio 2023 which was a rinse and repeat from 2022. FURIA made it to the top 6 but were cut out by cadiaN's Heroic. Despite his dip in the late stages, KSCERATO earned his second EVP with a HLTV rating of 1.20.

FURIA lifted their first international trophy since 2019 at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023

KSCERATO's only sub-par performance came when it mattered the most - at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, CS:GO's last ever Major. FURIA's losses to Monte, NiP and G2 paved way for a 0-3 exit from the tournament.

Amidst an array of early exits and no-shows, FURIA won the Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 towards the end of 2023. KSCERATO held a rating of 1.19 across 11 maps and delivered a monstrous performance in the semi-finals with a HLTV rating of 1.64.

Despite FURIA's less than desirable 2023, KSCERATO has put up impressive numbers, making it to the top 10 of various statistical categories. The fact that he has a 1.30+ rating across 40% of his maps goes to show his rifling prowess and consistency.
