Enigma takes down Marcos to secure Esportz Premier Series title

A comfortable 2-0 for Enigma Gaming in the LAN grand final

The Esportz Premier Series Grand Finale took place between Enigma Gaming and Marcos Gaming. While initially intended to be a BO5, unforeseen time constraints led to an adjustment, turning it into a BO3.

The match started on Mirage, with Enigma Gaming taking the pistol round under the belt to kick off their CT campaign. The early rounds inclined towards Enigma Gaming, as they developed a 5-1 lead. Marcos Gaming struggled to find their footing on the CT side, as Enigma extended their lead to 8-4.

As the second half started, Marcos Gaming had a tall order in front of them. Losing the pistol hurt their chances of a comeback, as Enigma took their lead to 11-5, yet Marcos didn't give up. They started mounting a comeback gradually and found themselves tied up at the end of regulation.

Even in Overtime, the game continued to be neck and neck, as both teams found themselves tied up once again at 14-14. However, in the endgame, Enigma held their nerves and secured the 2 rounds remaining to secure the first map victory with a 16-14 score. It was SpawN who led his team by example, standing atop the leaderboard with 24 kills to his name.

Next up was Ancient, chosen by Marcos Gaming. Rightly so, they kickstarted their T-side with an early 5-0 lead. Despite such a good start, Marcos Gaming experienced a sudden downturn. Their grip on the lead slipped away, enabling Enigma to capitalize on the situation and make a comeback. Enigma showed exceptional discipline, not conceding a single more round in the half to conclude with a halftime score of 7-5.

The second pistol went in the way of Marcos Gaming, as they overtook Enigma to lead 9-7. However, similar to the first half, as the game progressed, Enigma woke up. From the 9-7 deficit, they went on to close the game 13-10. hattyGOD stood a cut above the rest, with 22 kills to his name.

With this win, Enigma Gaming secured a first-place prize of 2.5 lakhs INR, while Marcos Gaming bagged 1.25 lakhs.
