Gods Reign reverse-sweeps WahWah in The Draft Super Six opener
The Draft Super Six got underway with two former teammates in olofmeister and GuardiaN taking on each other as Gods Reign got things underway against WahWah, getting things started with an India - Pakistan match up. The veto saw Gods Reign to go Anubis while WahWah picked Mirage and Ancient was left as the decider.
WahWah started with a flawless pistol on their CT side to get things going on Anubis thanks to a clinical triple from ExecutoR. WahWah started with a 4-0 lead before GuardiaN got his hands on an AWP and opened things up in Dark helpings Gods Reign get on the board. Gods Reign got three-in-a-row before WahWah got their fifth. Continuous B attacks were shut down with ease as WahWah started with a 9-3 lead.
WahWah kept it clean on the second pistol as well and that was the final nail in the coffin as olofmeister also got into the groove on WahWah's T side after not having to do much in the opening half. WahWah quickly shut out Gods Reign to take the opening map at 13-3.
Mirage started with WahWah hitting the B site and securing yet another pistol. A Ph1NNN triple on the force buy saw Gods Reign answer immediately. GuardiaN and clouda firing up made sure Gods started with a strong CT side as they went 9-3 up.
A flawless pistol from Gods Reign saw them take their first pistol of the series and secure double digits. An olofmeister tripe from Short saw WahWah get their first CT round once both teams brought out the guns in the second round. Crazy_Gamer's triple including a knife kill put Gods Reign on map point and the Indian team locked in Mirage at 13-4.
Ph1NNN and f1redup turned around a 2v4 on the B site to give Gods Reign the CT-sided pistol on Ancient. insmutje's 1v2 on the A site saw WahWah convert the force buy. BulleT's 1v2 saw WahWah see off a force buy from Gods Reign. f1redup and Ph1NNN got Gods Reign back into the map as they quickly turned it around to go 6-3 up. olofmeister denied GuardiaN a sneaky 1v2 which saw WahWah break Gods Reign's streak of five rounds but a couple of multi-kill rounds from f1redup towards the end of the half saw Gods Reign go 8-4 up.
f1redup and GuardiaN held on in a 2v3 to help Gods Reign take the first gun round of the second half and Gods Reign completed their comeback to win Ancient 13-4 and take the series 2-1.
Gods Reign is scheduled to play True Rippers later today.
