NewHappy qualifies for ESL Challenger Melbourne

NewHappy has successfully navigated the ESL Challenger Melbourne Closed Qualifier, and have qualified for the playoffs the main event.

After overcoming GR, they fell to Lynn Vision, relegating them to the lower brackets. Undeterred, they battled their way through the lower brackets for an opportunity at a revenge match in the final, where they defeated Lynn Vision 2-0 to clinch the number one spot.

They are the first team to qualify for the event, which will feature a total of 8 teams and a $100,000 prize pool.

The remaining 7 teams have different routes to join the main event: 3 through ESL Ranking, one through invitation, and one from each of the Europe, Oceania, and NA Closed Qualifiers. The playoffs is set to take place in April, with the 8 teams contesting in single elimination BO3s.
