2ez Gaming edges past Legacy Esports into the Grand Final

The second semi-final of the Upthrust Esports Gaming Fest Season 5 saw 2ez Gaming take on Legacy Esports with the BO3 series veto Legacy pick Mirage while 2ez go to Inferno with Overpass left over as the decider.

Legacy started Mirage with a clean pistol on their T side. After a back-and-forth start, 2ez ended with a two round lead at 7-5 before Legacy picked up the second pistol and went on to tie up the game at 7-7. It was another tight half which saw 2ez scrape through for a 13-11 win.

Inferno saw us head to overtime after 2ez pulled it back from a 4-8 deficit at half time. Legacy eventually hung on for 16-13 win to take the series to a decider.

Overpass was the decider which was 2ez tie up the opening half after starting 3-6. While Legacy tried their best to turn it around in the second half, 2ez made sure they closed out the map at 13-10.

The win sets up a 2ez Gaming - L.O.T Gaming Grand Final, which will take place on February 21, 2024 at 18:00 IST. The third place match between Re-wonation and Legacy Esports will take place tomorrow, February 20, 2024 at 18:00 IST. Both matches will be streamed live on Upthrust Esports' YouTube channel.
