bodyy turns it around for fnatic
Starting on the T-side of Inferno, 3DMAX put fnatic at an early 1-7 disadvantage. fnatic's CT-side came alive towards the end of the first half with afro and KRIMZ stepping up to salvage a 4-8 half still in favor of 3DMAX.
fnatic conceded the pistol and anti-eco to start the second half but caught 3DMAX off guard with their change of pace and strung up five rounds. 3DMAX adapted and reached match point at 12-8 but fnatic brute forced their way into overtime with late round executes. A series of back and forth trades saw 3DMAX close out Inferno 16-14 in overtime.
the trio of MATYS, afro and kyubii locked down a solid CT-defense for fnatic on Ancient giving them a 9-0 lead. 3DMAX could only secure 3 rounds in the first half as fnatic snatched a 9-3 half. A no-nonsense CT-side from fnatic kept things clean and closed out Ancient 13-3, pushing the series into the decider.
bodyy had an abysmal showing in the first two maps with just 3 frags in regulation on Inferno but going into Vertigo, it was bodyy who went ballistic for fnatic, dropping 18 frags in their CT-half to secure an 8-4 half.
3DMAX started strong in the second half to level the score at 8-8 but could get little to nothing done thereafter, as fnatic took the fights to 3DMAX, closing out Vertigo 13-9, eliminating fnatic.
fnatic will now face BetBoom in the semi-finals of the Skyesports Masters 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier.
