Inferno takes a hit in CS2
With the first CS2 Major coming to an end as Natus Vincere (NAVI) secured the title in Copenhagen, Denmark, we have some data on the most played maps at CS2 LAN tournaments.
HLTV recently shared a stat on their social media channels which showcases the map distribution for all CS2 LAN events and we have Ancient being the most played map. Following Ancient, the newest map in the Active Duty Pool, Anubis, which replaced the iconic Dust2, is the second most played map ahead of the evergreen Mirage.
Nuke and Overpass follow with one of the most polarising maps in the pool in Vertigo taking the second last place and it is Inferno, which has been home to some of the most iconic games in Counter-Strike history, coming in last place and has been played only a 137 times.
Inferno was heavily modified for CS2 but it looks like with the significant changes, and it looks like the players aren't really feeling the love towards the map with the new facelift.
