TheMongolz pummel Falcons
Shortly after Snappi's statement about winning without a star player in an interview with HLTV, Falcons faced a crushing defeat against TheMongolz. In the opening match of ESL Pro League Season 19 Group B, Falcons clashed with TheMongolz on Mirage, the latter's map choice.
Despite being ranked #13, Falcons struggled against the fiery T-side of the #21-ranked TheMongolz, trailing 9-3 at halftime. The momentum continued in favor of TheMongolz in the second half, ultimately sealing the match with a commanding 13-3 scoreline.
The second map, Nuke, kicked off as a closely contested map, with Falcons ending up with a 7-5 lead on their T side. Once the sides switched, however, so did the tides as TheMongolz overtook to lead 8-7. However, Falcons' CT side was brought back to life, as they clinched 6 of the remaining 7 rounds to win 13-9.
The final map in play was Ancient, where Senzu's fragging led TheMongolz to a 7-1 start, soon reduced to an 8-4 half. In the second half, following the tail, Falcons quickly closed the gap. But despite the best efforts from SunPayus, TheMongolz held their ground, securing a 13-11 win.
