Revenant ends Mumbai journey without a win
Day 4 at Skyesports Championship 2024 got going with DMS taking on the hamstrung Revenant, who were playing with their assistant coach and analyst Jeebs as lauNX was ill and unavailable for the rest of the tournament. With Revenant already out of contention for the Playoffs, the NBK- led squad was looking to leave on a high while DMS, who had a chance for the Playoffs was in a do-or-die situation. Given Revenant's performance against 3DMAX, DMS were the favourites and the final day of Group Stages started with an expected result as the Russian team locked in a comfortable win.
DMS's force buy win on the T side in the second round after losing the pistol saw the Russian team run away to a 6-1 lead on Mirage. A reiko quad followed by Nivera powering up on the AWP saw Revenant finally get their CT side underway and they managed to end with four CT rounds. DMS evened out the pistols by picking up a near flawless CT side pistol Revenant could manage to put up just one T round as DMS picked up a relatively comfortable 13-5 win to stay alive for the Playoffs contention.
With the loss, Revenant's Skyesports Championship 2024 campaign comes to an end and the Indian organisation leaves Mumbai without a single win and at the bottom of Group B. DMS meanwhile will be back in action later today against AMKAL as the look to make the Playoffs.
