The series kicked off on Ancient with a strong defensive half from Frag Theory getting things underway. It was Kaneki's AWP taking control of the map with Grudge helping out, which saw Frag Theory start with a two-round lead. Frag Theory further extended their lead, picking up the pistol on their T side and picked up four rounds on the bounce before Badmash finally got a CT round on the board.

Badmash threatened to pull it to overtime but Frag Theory held on for a 13-10 win to deny a comeback and draw first blood in the series. Inferno was a back and forth start as the score was tied at 6-6 and it was a similar story in the second half and Br0kenxD denied br0ck a 1v2 in the final round of regulation to once again see off any overtime opportunities as they closed out Inferno 13-11 with Painnnn leading the score charts for Frag Theory with 24 kills while vrenny's 26 kills for Badmash wasn't enough to see his team through.
