The MongolZ steamroll 3DMAX
After a strong run through the Group Stages, The MongolZ faced 3DMAX in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 Finals semi-final and it was a dominating performance from the Asian team as they moved into the Grand Final.
The series kicked off on 3DMAX's pick of Anubis, which saw a 20 kill half from mzinho powered The MongolZ to a 10 round start before easing to a 13-6 win. Ancient saw mzinho and bLitz put The MongolZ in the lead on their T side before a late resurgence led by Maka and Ex3rcise saw the French keep it to a 2-round lead for The MongolZ. It was bLitz leading from the front as a strong defensive half saw The MongolZ turn it around to go 13-9 to take the series 2-0.
The MongolZ will face HEROIC in the Grand Final of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 Finals in a BO5 encounter while OG will take on 3DMAX in the third place-decider.
