True Rippers overcome VICTORES SUMUS challenge
While the favourites Gods Reign suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Carnival Gaming in the first semi-final, True Rippers were looking to avoid any upsets and DEFAULTER's new squad with DiceDealer standing in for the team took down VICTORES SUMUS in a clean 2-0 manner.
The series kicked off on VICTORES SUMUS' pick of Inferno, which saw them start with a strong T side, and looked to kick off the series with a win before a fight back on the T side from True Rippers led by clouda and DEFAULTER saw them push it to overtime where they edged it out at 16-14.
On Anubis it was a one-sided affair following a strong defensive half from True Rippers, which saw them take a two-round lead, a flawless T side saw them ease to a 13-5 win which saw them take the series 2-0 and book themselves a place in the Grand Final.
True Rippers will face Carnival Gaming tomorrow in the Grand Final of AMD GameOn 2024.
