Premier's first season officially ends

Season 2 set to begin "soon"

Today officially marks the end of the inaugural season of Premier. Running in "Valve-time", Season 1 lasted for nearly 500 days. Players can no longer queue for Premier as the queue will remain closed for the transition period and players who managed to open their CS Rating in the first season of Premier will receive a commemorative medal for playing the inaugural season.

Counter-Strike's official account on X put out a post mentioning that the second season will begin "soon". While Counter-Strike data miners suspect it could be as soon as tomorrow, some of the community suspect that the "soon" could be in "Valve-time".

Season 2 also breathes some fresh air into the game, gameplay wise. The M4a4 will cost the same as the silenced M4 and the Famas is set to receive accuracy buffs alongside a price cut. Season 2 will award unique medals to players based on their highest rank achieved during the season. To be eligible for a Season 2 medal, one should have won at least 25 premier games with their account in a "good standing".

Season 2's end date has also been announced. In their news entry, Valve mentions that the second season of Premier will conclude after the Austin Major which is set to take place in June 2025.
