Resilient BIG send FORZE home
The Lower Bracket semi-final of the Skyesports Masters 2024 saw BIG take on FORZE, with both teams fighting for survival.
The action kicked off on Ancient which was FORZE's pick with the Germans getting things underway with the CT pistol thanks to a tabseN 1v1 on the A site. It was the German captain leading from the front as he propelled BIG to an 8-4 lead. FORZE started the second half on a four-round streak to tie up the score at 8-8 with sstiNiX powering up for the Russian team. After six straight rounds, BIG finally got on the board and just as BIG were threatening to take the map to overtime a sstiNiX triple gave FORZE a 13-10 win with sstiNiX topping the scoreboard with 24 kills and an ADR of 106.
FORZE started BIG's pick of Anubis with a massive T sided lead, going 9-3 up before BIG picked up a much needed pistol on their T side to bring the gap to two rounds. FORZE on a mixed buy with a Deagle and four MP9s stole their 10th. BIG eventually tied up the score at 10-10. A back-and-forth affair in the final couple of rounds saw the map head to overtime. JDC stuck a full 10 second defuse in the smoke to deny SELLTER a 1v3 which saw BIG edge out FORZE 16-14 to tie the series 1-1.
Nuke was all BIG as they began 9-3 on their CT side. FORZE pulled a couple of rounds back but a prosus triple kill saw BIG close it at 13-6. The Germans managed to make the reverse sweep stick as they turned it around to knock FORZE out.
With the win, BIG now moves into the Lower bracket final and face OG tomorrow while FORZE's journey ends with the loss.
