BlameF was phenomenal as usual as Astralis 2-0d 9INE

Astralis shock 9INE to reach Brazy Party Finals

The Danes ended 9INE's Vertigo win streak with an overtime victory.

Astralis' upswing continues as they 2-0 Polish squad 9INE to secure a Brazy Party Finals berth. The match saw the Danes cut their opponent's Vertigo win-streak at 16 while exploiting the Ancient weakness that the Poles are still unable to fix.

The game started off on Vertigo. Astralis' CT side picked up the pistol but was met with a forcebuy loss that put them in a 1-4 deficit. On a weakened buy, the team picked up a win, shifting the momentum to their side and allowing them to make the half competitive with 4 of their own. This back and forth continued with 9INE repeatedly making weaker buys work in their favour to keep the half tied, closing at 8-7.

The second half looked like 9INE would be taking control, as they lost just one round in the first 6. With just a smattering of pistols, the Danes managed to sneak a victory and ran with it all the way to 15-14. 9INE managed to get one last CT round to send the game to OT, but in the end, were unable to clinch the win as blameF, dev1ce and gla1ve all fragged phenomenally.

With the series moving to Ancient, it was all but certain that Astralis would be the victors. The Poles have struggled with Ancient for a while and have gone winless in their last 13 games. And the first half was proof of just that. Astralis stormed the half, winning 12 rounds, with 10 including the complete elimination of 9INE. 9INE showed some signs of life, but it was too little too late as dev1ce's stellar performance put 9INE out of the Brazy Party event.

Astralis now move on to the finals, where they will face the winner of C9 vs OG.
