NiP no match for ENCE
Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) were sent to the 1-1 bracket after being comprehensively beat by ENCE in the second game at the Challengers Stage of the Paris Major 2023. It was a decent start from NiP in the first half but ENCE just shut down NiP on their CT side to close the map 16-9 in a dominating manner.
The match got underway on Vertigo with NiP on the CT side. NiP took the pistol and had a clean conversion on the force-buy. headtr1ck had an early 4k on A-ramp to see NiP go 3-0 up. ENCE put up their first round in the first gun round. ENCE made their first gun round count as they went on to tie the score at 3-3 before NiP won their first gun-round after Brollan put up a stellar defence on the A-ramp. dycha came in with a 1v3 clutch to give ENCE the lead again at 5-3. A triple kill from k0nfig made sure ENCE didn't run away with the half but ENCE's Danish in-game leader clutched out a 1v2 on the B site to end the first half with a 8-7 lead.
NiP converted both pistols to tie up the game and converted the force to take the lead of the game. ENCE though converted eight in a row on their gun rounds to take match point at 15-9. dycha clutched out a 1v1 against k0nfig to close out the map. for ENCE at 16-9 with Maden ending the map with a 1.43 rating and 24 kills.
ENCE now are just one win away from securing the Legends spot.
