TheMongolz on the brink of elimination
After getting demolished 0-16, Grayhound showed brilliant mental fortitude to comeback against TheMongolz and now lie one best-of-three win away from making it to the top 16 of the Paris Major 2023. The Australians took down TheMongolz 16-10 on Nuke to kick things off on the second day of the Challengers Stage at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
The 1-1 game got underway on Nuke after a surprise Inferno veto ban from TheMongolz.
TheMongolz started on the T side and the team from Asia converted the pistol. bLitz came in with a crucial 1v3 in the second round to make sure Grayhound didn't run away with a low buy. Once both teams had the guns out, Grayhound put up a strong defence with six rounds in a row as INS and Sico made sure their team took an early lead at 6-4. TheMongolz eventually managed to convert a low-buy for their fifth but aliStair shut down a B execute to help Grayhound win the half. The Australian team eventually ended the first half with a 10-5 lead after being 0-4 down.
It was the Australians who took the second pistol as they increased their lead to 11-5. Grayhound saw off the force buy and converted a 3v5 to take a seven round lead. INS came in with an important 1v2 clutch as Grayhound turned around a 2v4 to get their fourteenth round. Three triple kill rounds from Techno, hasteka and bLitz saw TheMongolz break Grayhound's economy and secure double digits themselves. 10 was all that TheMongolz could manage as the Australians wrapped up the game at 16-10. INS was the top performer for Grayhound with 31 kills and an incredible 1.90 rating.
