Liquid survive Fluxo scare

The North American side went the distance in trying to put away WOOD7's troops in the 0-2 match.

The battle between Liquid and Fluxo in the Paris Major was an intense battle between two Americas teams. Liquid struggled immensely, while Fluxo showed that even though they were going 0-3, they had an immense amount of skill in their armoury.

The opening map, Nuke, showcased a back-and-forth struggle between Liquid and Fluxo. While Liquid started strong by securing the pistol round, Fluxo quickly rallied and brought out their rifles to take the lead. Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis and Josh "oSee" Ohm were instrumental in securing frags for Liquid. However, Fluxo executed a successful offensive half, only trailing by one round at halftime. Despite Liquid's efforts on the T side, Fluxo dominated with a string of consecutive rounds, ultimately closing out the map with a 16-11 victory.

Liquid's hopes of staying alive in the tournament rested on their map pick, Inferno. Although they secured the opening pistol round, Fluxo quickly bounced back, showcasing their resilience. The first half was closely contested, with Fluxo narrowly leading by a single round. Allan "history" Lawrenz and Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves delivered exceptional performances for Fluxo. However, Liquid managed to stabilize on the CT side, reclaiming the lead and securing a hard-fought 16-14 victory. Their ability to maintain composure in the face of adversity kept their tournament dreams alive.

The deciding map, Ancient, witnessed an intense battle for survival. Fluxo began with a strong start, taking an early lead and displaying their offensive prowess. However, Liquid swiftly adapted and turned the tides in their favour. Led by the outstanding performance of Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, Liquid showcased their resilience, strategically dismantling Fluxo's advances. With a solid performance on the CT side, Liquid established a commanding lead. Despite a valiant effort from Fluxo's Vinicius "vsm" Moreira, Liquid held their ground and closed the match with a 16-13 victory, securing their spot in the tournament.

The clash between Liquid and Fluxo was an interesting sight to witness. While Fluxo showed their strength on Nuke, Liquid fought back on Inferno and Ancient, displaying their resilience and determination. With their victory over Fluxo, Liquid advances in the tournament, ready to face complexity in the 1-2 bracket. Meanwhile, Fluxo head home with their coach, Zews hinting at the potential roster moves in the future.
