Liquid ease past 9INE
After starting in the worst way possible, in the Challengers Stage, Liquid started their Legends Stage campaign with a win after taking down 9INE in their opening best-of-one game. The Poles were in the game briefly but Liquid were unstoppable on their defensive half to close out the game at 16-9.
The best-of-one was played on Overpass with the Polish team starting on the defensive side. A triple for NAF in the opening round saw Liquid pick up the pistol. It was a clean conversion for Liquid against the force buy which saw 9INE take an early eco and go down 0-3. hades' AWP got 9INE on the board in the first gun round as the Pole held his own at A long against the incoming Ts. Liquid responded with two of their own which broke 9INE's economy as Liquid built an early T side lead at 6-1. 9INE put together a couple of defensive rounds on the trot to tie the game at 6-6. YEKINDAR's saved AK from round 12, saw the Latvian make full use in a low buy round from Liquid as they took their seventh off the back of a triple kill from YEKINDAR. Another clean triple kill from nitr0 saw Liquid win out the half as they took their eighth and it was an oSee 1v2 to close out the half from Liquid as they headed into their defensive half with a 9-6 lead.
9INE took the second pistol and even though it got messy for the Poles against Liquid's force buy, they managed to hold on bring it to a one-round game at 8-9. 9INE converted the eco from Liquid to tie up the game at 9-9. An impactful triple kill from oSee saw Liquid put up their first CT round. Liquid's first gun round saw them go on a seven round streak to secure the map at 16-9 as it was nitr0 coming in with some crucial multi-kills on the B hold.
It was NAF and nitr0 on top of the scoreboard, with both dropping 25 and 22 kills respectively.
