Into the Breach send FaZe packing
Into the Breach ended the first day of the Legends Stage with the biggest upset of the day as they shut down FaZe on Inferno to send the recent Intel Grand Slam champions to the 0-2 bracket.
The final game of the day saw Into the Breach take on FaZe in their 0-1 matchup. The match kicked off on Inferno with FaZe on the T side. Into the Breach won the opening pistol and converted the eco from FaZe keeping all five alive. FaZe were on the board as soon as the guns were out but a double from CRUC1AL on Banana saw Into the Breach get their third round. The British team racked up the arounds as CRUC1AL's quad kill on the A site gave Into the Breach their seventh round. FaZe converted a 3v5 to get their fourth round and a broky 1v2 saw FaZe end the first half 5-10.
Into the Breach won the pistol on their T side and converted the force buy but FaZe won the second force buy in a row to get their CT half underway. A karrigan triple on the B site saw FaZe get their seventh and FaZe put together a couple of rounds and a ropz 1v1 clutch against volt saw FaZe take 10. A crucial 1v2 from rallen saw Into the Breach secure their 13th round. A CYPHER quad kill put Into the Breach on their 14th and against the eco buy from FaZe, Into the Breach held on to get to match point. A quick B execute saw Into the Breach complete the upset as they stunned FaZe 16-12.
It was CRUC1AL and volt who topped the scoreboard for the British team, as they ended with 24 and 23 kills respectively.
