FaZe fight on

FaZe eliminate 9INE

The Poles have been sent home

FaZe have eliminated 9INE from the Paris Major 2023 as FaZe live to fight on for another day after going 0-2 in the first day of the Legends Stage. FaZe now have two more best-of-threes to get through if they want to make it to the playoffs.

In a surprising turn of events, it was Inferno up first, which was FaZe's pick as 9INE let Inferno through, although it has been their perma-ban map. The Polish team started on the CT side but it was FaZe who picked up the pistol. It was two flawless rounds from FaZe as they went 3-0 before the guns came out on both sides. ropz's 1v1 clutch against mynio saw FaZe go 4-0 and put 9INE back on the pistols. A strong hold from hades at A short with the AWP saw 9INE put up their first round in the eighth round of the map. A broky 1v2 got FaZe right back into it but a mynio triple kill gave 9INE their second round and the Poles managed to get three in row as they ended the first half at 4-11.

9INE moved up to five after taking the second half pistol as Goofy had an impactful pistol round and the pistol round helped 9INE convert it into a three round streak before FaZe took their first CT round. Goofy came in with a crucial 1v2 clutch at 8-15 to keep 9INE in the game. FaZe kept their calm and denied 9INE any chance of a comeback as they picked up Inferno at 16-10.

FaZe's trio of ropz, broky and Twistzz were the one's who stepped up, as ropz ended the first map with 24 kills and a 1.54 rating.

ropz was instrumental in FaZe's success on both maps

FaZe opened up Anubis with a pistol win and a broky triple in round two against the eco gave FaZe an early 2-0 lead on their CT side. FaZe converted a 4v5 in the first gun round as FaZe continued to rack up the rounds. 9INE got their first round on upgraded pistols but FaZe responded immediately with a clean defensive hold. rain and ropz shut down attack after attack from the Poles as FaZe shout up to an early 7-1 lead. It was a complete shut down as every single member on the FaZe team stepped up and FaZe ended the first half with a 13-2 lead as rain ended had a 1v2 clutch in the 15th round.

ropz's triple in the second pistol saw FaZe secure 14 before a quick B execute saw FaZe secure 15. hades and Kylar pulled three back for 9INE which broke FaZe economy and helped 9INE get up to seven. ropz closed out the game with a 1v2 clutch on a low buy from FaZe as they secured Anubis 16-8. ropz ended the series with 45 kills and a 1.52 rating.
