Vitality eliminate C9 in last place

Vitality eliminate C9 in last place at BLAST Premier Spring Finals

The ZywOo-powered team bounced back from their loss to Imperial to take down C9.

Vitality's first series after their major win did not go as planned. Getting annihilated by Imperial wasn't on the bingo cards of the most hardcore Brazilian fans. Their lower-round opponents would be C9, a team that had fallen from grace

The match started on Overpass, with C9 starting their attack with a pistol conversion. And the momentum stayed with the Russian squad as they took a 6-0 lead before a Spinx double cancelled out sh1ro's AWP triple and forced the sniper to save, giving Vitality their first round. Dupreeh stepped up from there to lead his team to a tied game at 6-6. C9 got their final attacks in to close the half with an 8-7 lead.

In the second half, the major champs started off with a pistol round conversion, giving them the lead for the first time in the game. And despite a brief streak of 4 from C9 and a massive nafany triple up against matchpoint, ZywOo stepped up with 15 kills on the T side to help Vitality close it out at 16-13.

Moving onto Anubis, Vitality started with another pistol victory, and they weathered the storm in the first gun round to putting 4 up. sh1ro's saved AWP stepped up in round 5 to start C9's defence. Nafany and Ax1le stepped up alongside their sniper to tie the half 5-5, and the latter closed the final round with a triple to take another 8-7 lead at halftime.

C9's own pistol win started the second half, and it propelled them to 11. Magisk, so far, had been the star for Vitality on Anubis, and he stepped up, taking the AWP over ZywOo to get Vitality started in the half. And everyone woke up on the International side to take the game to an 11-11 tie. C9 finally woke back up thanks to nafany's multifrags to take a 13-11 lead. Vitality held on by a thread thanks to their veterans providing impact kills, but Ax1le's sheer individual skill eventually overpowered them to lock in matchpoint with a quad kill. An absolutely disastrous round from Cloud9 saw them take two teamkills in round 29, setting Vitality up with a chance to take it to overtime. And ZywOo delivered an Ace to ensure OT.

A literal fumble from C9 as they dropped the bomb and the round on the A site. And Vitality was living up to its name, with everyone coming alive at the right moment as they secured matchpoint in OT. Dupreeh took the final kills in the map to take down C9 and stay alive in the Spring FInals.
