FaZe wipe out Astralis
FaZe got off to a winning start in Washington in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023 as they comfortably beat Astralis 2-0 with the Danes managing just 11 rounds across the two maps.
The first map of the series was on Astralis' pick of Overpass. FaZe started on the CT side and it was ropz and karrigan's multi-kills to give FaZe the opening round. FaZe took an early 3-0 before the guns came out on both sides. Altekz's double helped Astralis pick up their first T round in the fourth round. gla1ve's 1v3 saw Astralis tie up the game at 3-3. A Twistzz quad kill saw FaZe pick up their fifth, which put Astralis back on the pistols. It was another Twistzz multi-kill against the pistols that saw FaZe secure their eighth to win the half. Altekz's double opener on the B site saw the Danes secure their fourth. karrigan's triple on the B site put FaZe on to double digits. dev1ce ended the first half with a 1v1 against broky to give Astralis their fifth.
FaZe picked up the second pistol and a karrigan triple and a rain quad kill saw FaZe take an eight-round lead. Another rain quad kill put FaZe on map point and FaZe went flawless on the T half to close the map at 16-5.
The second map was FaZe's pick and FaZe were once again 3-0 up after taking the pistol on the T side. Astralis won the first gun round and and a triple from blameF in round eight saw Astralis convert five in a row to take a 5-3 lead. FaZe responded with seven in a row to close out the first half with a 10-5.
Astralis could manage only one defensive round as FaZe closed out the map at 16-6 to secure the series 2-0. rain topped the series with 38 kills for FaZe
