C9 in talks with electroNic and Perfecto

Cloud9 targets NAVI duo in roster overhaul

Cloud9 is closing in on the transfer of Denis ‘electroNic’ Sharipov and Ilya ‘Perfecto’ Zalutskiy from NAVI.

According to a report by Dexerto, North American organization Cloud9 is in advanced talks with NAVI for the transfer of the Russian duo of electroNic and Perfecto to C9's CSGO roster. While initially the players were entertaining other offers, with electroNic notably having reached a verbal agreement with Evil Geniuses, talks with C9 accelerated in recent days.

NAVI themselves are in the process of moving to a rumoured International roster featuring Aleksi ‘Aleksib’ Virolainen, Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius and Mihai ‘iM’ Ivan. To facilitate this, NAVI's rookie 5th npl had been moved to the bench last week.

While 1pv.fr previously reported that the duo could still potentially stay in the roster, the situation has developed since then. The players were part of the immensely successful NAVI roster that won the Grand Slam and the Stockholm Major and will hope to bring the same winning pedigree to C9, who have struggled in the last few months.

Reportedly, the two will be taking over from Abay ‘HObbit’ Khassenov and Timur ‘buster’ Tulepov. The decision to retain their IGL nafany will be met with some criticism, but with the additional firepower coming in alongside the always solid Ax1le and sh1ro, the team will hope to improve their standing in the scene.
