RDX wins Skyesports Café Qualifiers in Kolkata

The Kolkata event kicked off with Team Unbeatable taking on Team Lotus in the best-of-one on Mirage. It was strong start from Team Unbeatable as they put up a stellar T-side, going 11-4 up in the opening half. Team Lotus, took the second pistol and managed to string together a couple of rounds thanks to HellGamerX and ๖M@V3r!cK^ but Team Unbeatable were just too strong as they closed the map at 16-7 with TSEYE and dnL-DreaM leading the scoreboard with 24 and 22 kills respectively.

The second game of the day was Team Unbeatable looking for a spot in the finals, as they took on Airavata Esports (ARVT). The action was again on Mirage and it was Team Unbeatable who kicked things off on the CT side. Unbeatable went 9-0 up before ARVT Esports got their first round. It looked like Unbeatable would run way with the map but ARVT, pulled things back, tying the game at 11-11 and then went on to take the lead and almost close the game as they took the lead at 14-11. Two erroneous rounds from ARVT, where they over-extended in a man advantage situation saw Unbeatable pull things back and after the game went to overtime, it was Unbeatable who closed the map at 19-16 with dnL-DreaM and sUs stepping up with 39 and 29 kills respectively.

After getting a walkover in their opening game, RDX were looking to join Team Unbeatable in the finals, as they took on L Squad. Once again, it was Mirage that was the battleground for the best-of-one. RDX were unstoppable on their CT side, as they took the opening pistol and went on a 13 round win streak, shutting down every L Squad attack with ease. L Squad finally managed one single round but that was all as RDX booked their finals spot with a dominating 16-1 win as L0stt_ and macho led from the front with 22 and 21 kills respectively.

FINALS
The bo3 final kicked off on RDX's pick of Inferno with RDX going 10-5 up on the T side. macho's B holds helped RDX gain and early advantage and they didn't take long to close out the game at 16-9 with macho and KevinRシ leading the scoreboard with 23 and 22 kills respectively.

The second map was Team Unbeatable's pick of Overpass and it was a 9-6 lead for RDX, starting on the CT side. sUs helped Team Unbeatable pull a couple of rounds back, but it was Logan who was on a tear as he shut down Team Unbeatable and helped RDX secure the map 16-10 and win the Skyesports Masters Café Qualifier in Kolkata.
