Destructive 5 takedown Reactive in Skyesports Masters CQ Playoffs

D5 start their run with a Ro16 win

The match started on Inferno, with Destructive 5 taking the pistol round conversion for a 3-0 lead. Reactive picked up a singular round, but D5 managed to keep control with an unmoving defence. But finally, Reactive pulled out some back-to-back rounds to get themselves into the half. And they were in the driver's seat for the second part of the half, finishing with just a 3-round deficit.

The second half started with another win for D5. Ember was the only player fragging out for Reactive, leading the entire server in fragging. But with D5's quartet performing, it was almost flawless from D5 to getting 15. As Ember cooled off, metaL found some form, but it wasn't enough to stop D5, who took the map win 16-9.

Vertigo continued the story with Destructive 5 taking the pistol round conversion, and this time they extended all the way to a 9-0 lead with a flawless CT hold. Wuzz, who was notably lagging behind his teammates on Inferno, popped off in the early rounds, and Sam took the reigns of the game with over 20 frags in the first half. Finally, in round 14, Reactive managed to pick up their first win on the map thanks to a couple of keys kills from KnightRider. And they closed the half out with a mere 2 rounds to their name, hoping for a miracle to save their chances in this series.

A pistol-round win kept that hope alive a while longer, and with 7 in a row, those final two rounds in the first half really seemed to be biting D5 as Reactive's defence kept a hold onto the sites. A 1v2 clutch saw Em0 go absolutely massive to put up D5's first round on the attack. PeXXer pulled out another round on the A site entries to lock in the match point for Destructive 5. Finally, D5 were able to close it out at 16-11, taking the series 2-0.
