Reckoning Esports decide to back out of TEC Arena Connect, Pune

The decision comes off of concerns being raised over foreign players

Reckoning Esports, a team that has looked in great form throughout the tournament and had made their way into the LAN semi-finals event, have decided to withdraw from the competition.

Late into the tournament, the organizers allegedly had talks with Reckoning Esports hinting at their disqualification from the TEC Arena Connect, Pune due to the presence of foreign players in the team. The Founder and MD of Reckoning Esports took to Twitter (deleted later on) to state how no one shined light on the matter in the early stages of the tournament but all of a sudden raised concerns when the team found winning ways.

The tournament was supposedly limited to players residing in India and a few South-Asian regions. The Founder and MD of Reckoning Esports even Tweeted out pictures of the tournament rulebook showing that no such rule was mentioned in the rulebook.

Bryle and SALO_MUX from Philippines and Russia were Reckoning Esports' foreign players. Their IGL took to Twitter as well stating that SALO_MUX and bryle were on 150 and 100 ping during the online qualifiers and made it through despite the huge disadvantage.

TEC are yet to comment on the issue and make a public announcement. Further updates on the topic will follow soon.

they're saying its in the rulebook but then reckoning should've never been allowed to play, they played a couple of games and then get DQ, that's unfair on them :(
