G2 demolish OG at BLAST Premier Fall Groups

G2’s loss to Liquid was a bizarre turn of events, catching everyone off guard. But a match against OG was the perfect platform to bounce back and get some confidence under their wings.

OG started Ancient off with a 4 round head-start thanks to a pistol win, before G2 finally started their CT side. NiKo was on fire early on his best map in the pool, and eventually G2 tied the game up at 5-5. m0NESY and NiKo combined for over 30 frags in the first half and ensured a 9-6 lead.

Over on their T side, G2 started with a pistol conversion and led into a flawless attack quickly closing it out 16-6 with the young AWPer dropping 30 frags.

G2 started their own map pick with another pistol win, and early on it looked like G2 might go on a streak again. But F1KU held on to put OG’s first on the board. Neither team could get two rounds on the board back to back but in the end G2 outfragged the OG squad and put up a 10-5 half.
Yet another pistol came at the hands of m0NESY’s dualies and OG’s attack had no legs to stand on getting annihilated as G2 locked in another 16-6 win.

G2 will now go up against FaZe clan to get a chance at a TL rematch while OG will drop to the gauntlet to hopefully make a run for a Fall Finals berth.
